Strolling around the city park and neighbourhoods
Hello, guys! What are you up to?
I just exceeded my daily upload limit in this post. I guess this is something new, maybe recently introduced. So these are not all the pictures I was going to share 🙂 Now I need to adapt.
Anyway, my hubby, daughter and I had a wonderful walk over the past weekend. We enjoyed an autumn season in the city park. It was so good to stroll along narrow paths covered with leaves, and just to be together again.

The weather forecast for the two weeks I’m here is thoroughly autumnal—rain, drizzle, and fog. I spent almost the entire day walking around and got quite cold. But it is so beautiful all around. My daughter has favored different seasons at different period of her life. When she was little, she loved winter — because of her birthday, Christmas, and New Year’s. After all, who doesn’t love holidays, treats, and gifts?
Now she believes the autumn is the most beautiful season of the year. Who am I do disagree? 😉

We were walking past a charming café. I stopped to take a photo, and it turned out to be a new spot that my daughter had wanted to visit with us. They had great-looking croissants and a stylish, cozy interior, so we decided to stay for a snack and some hot tea. As it turned out, they don’t serve plain tea—only a "Chinese tea ceremony." Well, it was an interesting new experience.

The café also had one fluffy employee. Judging by his behavior, he didn't want to say goodbye to us. So cute!

Despite the dampness, the park was crowded.
Several groups were having photoshoots. Some people were simply taking a stroll. Others were feeding the ducks and swans. There are several interconnected lakes in the park. At one time, this was the estate of a wealthy town resident. Most of the park was private property.

Do you know what I didn’t see here? Squirrels. In Kyiv, there are lots of red squirrels in every park. In the autumn, they are especially approachable, hoping that you might have a treat for them in your pocket.

Well. Unfortunately, a large portion of the photos exceeded the limit, and I don’t want to put off this post until tomorrow. So, that’s it for today.
Thanks for stopping by, and see you tomorrow!

What a beautiful place, the autumn trees have such colorful leaves. I'm sure you had a very good time. I would also like to experience a tea ceremony once.
Thank you. I believe you'd love tea ceremony. At least it's good tea brewed properly
Неймовірні прекрасні фото! Я реально відчула задоволення! Поєднання старовинного міста і осінньої магії чарівні
Дякую!
Lovely! I read that the daily upload limit is 20mb for free users so you'll fit all your photos in if you compress them more
I checked it. Daily allowance 20 MiB. Compressing will work
a chinese tea ceremony sounds like a fun surprise when you just want a normal cup of hot tea after walking in the cold rain
And it was ❤️
Thank you for sharing those beautiful photos! That's an amazing park. I,too, love autumn with its lovely colors and cooler days.
I am glad you enjoyed it ❤️
Although autumn feels a little bleak, the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful!
Totally agree! In autumn, there is more rain, the days are short, and it gets colder every day. But these colors—they are something magical ❤️
Gorgeous photos! It's been a decent week on this end—lots of progress on the new book. Speaking of books, yours is still on the way. It left Warsaw about a week and a half ago and there have been no updates since. I wish you a wonderful rest of your week @zirochka!
Thank you! Nice to know you have a productive week. I wish I could say so too but... I brought my laptop with me, hoping to get some work done, but I forgot the charger 😂🤦♀️🤷🏻♀️
You're welcome! Maybe it was meant to be that you relax and "just be" for a while without working. Enjoy the rest of your time away!
You are so kind. Thank you so much for your support ❤️
You're welcome! Enjoy the weekend!
Thank you so much for everything you've done.
The "fluffy employee" at the café made me laugh — every great café seems to have one, and they're always the real reason people come back. I also loved the detail about your daughter's shifting seasons: winter when she was little, with the birthday and holidays bundled together, and now autumn on top. Kids recalibrate their whole worldview every few years, and it's fun to watch. The missing squirrels are a shame, though — Kyiv's red squirrels are famous. One question: does this city have a different park mascot instead, like pigeons or crows running the show?
No, swans and ducks rule over everything 🙂😉
Ha, swans and ducks running the show sounds perfect honestly. I had pictured pigeons causing chaos, but swans feel much more fitting for that park. Were they out in force when you visited, or did you have to go looking for them?
