It's been a year since I joined Hive. I got to know about it through a friend of mine and I'm glad that I've found it. As my friend knew I liked to write, he approached me to write blogs on Hive. After that I found some peace on online, because other social platforms were full of toxicity and Hive has always been the opposite of it. I have already tried to make my friends join Hive after my fruitful experience. One of my friend who's name is Akash he asked me why he should join Hive as he doesn't have any idea about web 3 platforms.

I tried to share my knowledge with him as much as I knew. I assured him that Hive is more than just a social media platform. This is a place where he can share everything, his opinions, his creativity and can easily get connected to people from various countries. To be honest I directly told him that no other social media would give him the opportunities as Hive will.

On other platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, when he posts something he doesn't get paid for it unless he has monetization. And to get monetization he needs to full fill some requirements but on Hive he doesn't have to do anything like that. He can easily earn without any kind of monetization but all he has to do is post his original contents only.

I told him how plagiarism and AI is not allowed to be used for his content. He seemed a bit disappointed as he uses AI a lot to get his works done. He is used to the other social media platforms where one can easily steal others work and claim it as their own and not giving credits. Before joining Hive I only used other social platforms for entertainment. I only kept scrolling for hours and wasted my precious time without learning anything useful.

But after discovering Hive, it felt like I've become more creative. The more I write on topics the more knowledge I'm ganing. My experience became very different on Hive. The thing I appreciate the most is the people on Hive, they are always there appreciating the talents, not discouraging anyone and giving value to the authors effort.

I also told him about the communities that on here he can find poetry, photography, gaming, cooking recipes, beautiful arts, music, people sharing daily life stories and there are so many communities that he can't even imagine.

Hive gives freedom of speech. And I assured him that he won't get bullied or trolled for expressing himself, and how safe the environment is. Even his contents will be his own not gonna be owned or controlled big companies because it's a decentralized platform. Hive only focuses on originality and engagement not on popularity only.

I shared how I personally have met so many kind and supportive people on Hive. I also told him that there are many contests every week so he would always stay motivated. His everyday on Hive would be like an opportunity which he should not miss. I tried my best to make him join, but later he couldn't because he is not much of a writer. But still I've tried to approach my other friends and I am still trying.

Well, hive is the only platform where people can find something meaningful for themselves. That is why I would happily encourage anyone to start their Hive journey.
