Money vs Humanity in Healthcare

Not only in the present time but also in the past time we have always seen how money matters the most to people, let it be a doctor or a normal human being values money more than anything. There are many hospitals that would refuse to do emergency treatment when patients can not afford to pay. Most of the patients belong to middle class family or street and whenever I see such situations, I have never felt good at all. Because it always felt unfair.
Like, shouldn't human life matter more than a piece of paper? Doctors take an oath to save lives, then why they only save lives if the patient is able to pay. That means to them money is more important than a human life. For that reason they can neglect a person who has no money, because for the hospital, life of the poor people are valuless. They don't think that poor people's life is as valuable as a rich person’s life.
Well, I do know that a hospital can not be run properly without money, like they would need money for everything such as medicines, medical equipment and the doctors and nurses, as they need salary because they are the only breadwinner of their family. So, yeah, if they don't have money, they can't continue the services of a hospital. I feel the problem is in the healthcare system, which depends heavily on business and profit. Therefore, I won't blame the doctors only.
I remember news that was viral a few days ago, where a man was begging on the street for his newborn baby. It was the delivery time of his wife, so he took his wife to a nearby hospital. But after the delivery of the baby, the hospital was not allowing them to see their child. They spent hours asking relatives and neighbors for help while the child was on life support. When the people of the hospital realized that the parents were from a poor family, they stopped the life support system. Within a few minutes, the newborn baby was no more.
Stories like this will haunt me forever, I do not think that healthcare should only depend on a person’s financial condition. It's really a wrong thing to do. The parents were crying their heart out while giving the interview to the reporters. This made me very emotional. It was located far away from my city, and still I felt bad that I couldn’t help them. I felt that as a human being, we failed, like there's no humanity in this.
I would also blame the governments because why they do not have easier methods for poor people. There are many government hospitals, but everyone has to stand in a long line. How will the patients stand in a long line when they are ill and in need of emergency treatment? The government should take steps to improve the facilities of the hospitals so that poor people can receive treatment for free during emergencies.
They can also create charity funds for patients, like patients who can not pay immediately. Also, they can take a small amount of money over time instead of taking the full payment before treatment. Hospital's first priority should be saving lives not earning profits. Also, special discounts must be given to such poor families.
If these painful incidents continue to occur then doctors are going to lose their respected place. Everyone respects a doctor because they save lives and have huge responsibility. But instead of saving lives if they start valuing money more, they won't get respected anymore. In my opinion, healthcare should not ever become a business. No one should be denied life-saving treatment simply because they are poor.

It was a sad story that you told ;-;
But the saddest is to know that it'll keep happening if things don't change...
Yeah, government needs to step ASAP.
Here, i see that if government give charity funds to doctor's, they don't use that funds for patients and that's how corruption works here 😔

Yeah, that's truly. It usually happens and they are still using old rotten equipments. The switches in the room are also broken. I have personally visited one like that. It was a terrible experience.

It is disheartening to read what happened to the couple's baby. Like how can the hospital do such a thing😭
Yeah, I really felt bad for them. These kind of things are happening repeated. Though the hospital has recieved backlash from the public.
