Waiting for the Clouds to Gather | LOH #292

I live in Bangladesh we officially have six seasons. My most favourite is wet season, or rainy season. As I live in the capital city which is Dhaka, the rain can sometimes cause traffic jams because of the water on the roads. But I still love wet season.

Why I like it? It's because of the atmosphere and the cool weather. After many hot summer days, the rain makes it feel like heaven. I feel much comfortable. Usually I sit near a window and watch the rain fall. There are some trees nearby our apartment and these trees look greener and the road feels much cleaner after a good rain.

To be honest, when I am unable to fall asleep, I would find a video of rain fall sound on YouTube and keep it on as a loop. I personally like the sound of rain because it helps me to relax and fall asleep in peace. Also, when I don't wanna go to my classes or study if it rains I feel really grateful and happy. Yesterday, it was raining and my home tutor didn't come. I can't explain how happy I was. So, I do wish for rain everyday, haha.

My least favorite season is summer. Well, in summer people of our country usually deal with heat strokes and it can get really bad. So, I do not like it when it's hot and humid. Trees are very rare in cities and the heat feels even worse because of all the buildings. I avoid going outside during the day because of the hot weather. I am also allergic to hot weather and feel very uncomfortable. Sometimes, I start sweating after staying for only a few minutes outside. Even at home if I don't do anything and just lay down, I would be sweating. Moreover, Heat wave just started in our country but sometime it's rains. So yeah, it is harder to sleep at night when the weather stays hot.

However, I will always prefer rain fall over summer. If I had to choose between all of the seasons, then I would obviously choose the wet season. For me, a rainy day is the best kind of day in Bangladesh.

I laughed when you said you were happy because your home tutor couldn't come due to the rain 😆. Rainy days really do have a special charm. Wishing you lots of peaceful rainy afternoons this season!

With the approaching Summer warm weather I can imagine any rain in Dhaka would be a welcoming temperature relief, as long as the rainfall does not cause excessive flooding damage.

I'm looking up your present weather 5 AM your local time 27°C partly sunny for an expected 33°C and that's too warm for me. On the West coast Canada 4:45 PM it is 18°C. I also enjoy the soothing sound of rain @zoe01

Haha, we’ve never experienced temperatures below zero or seen snow here. So for us, 27°C actually feels pretty cool and refreshing. (Well, as close to “cold” as we can get!)

I think it’s going to rain again today, and if it does I’ll be really happy, hehe. Sometimes the weather app says it’s going to rain, but then it never does. 😅🌧️💙

I only got ONE day of snow last winter and that did not last long.
And only a few days of temperatures over 31°C last summer that were uncomfortable for me.

I tell you, I wouldn't last long after I get off an air conditioned plane at the Shahjalal International Airport. 😅

Haha, I think the humidity would finish you off before the temperature does! 😆 The moment you step out of the airport, it would feel like walking into a warm, steamy blanket. 😂 And honestly, I'd probably have the same reaction to Canadian winter. I've never seen snow in real life!
