Hello, dear hiver!❤️

Parents are two key pieces in life, so I can't say which of the two is more important, because I have proven that both are essential.

On this occasion I want to talk to you, dear friend, about my mother's teachings.

Thinking about mom means that a hug comes to mind. She is always willing to listen, but above all to advise you. From her I have learned countless things in life, how to do what my heart longs for.

Los padres son dos piezas claves en la vida, así que no puedo decir cuál de los dos es más importante, porque he comprobado que ambos son indispensables.

En esta oportunidad quiero hablarte, querida amiga, hiver sobre las enseñanzas de mi madre.

Pensar en mamá, es que te venga a la mente un abrazo. Siempre está dispuesta a escuchar, pero por sobre todo a aconsejarte. De ella he aprendido un sinfín de cosas en la vida, como a hacer anhela mi corazón.

Mom studied at the university always accompanied by us. We didn't have any family around, just mom and dad. Dad worked, and mom studied. So, since we were girls, we couldn't stay home alone, until I reached adolescence and was able to show my mother that she was responsible to take care of myself and my sister.

I watched Mom studying for college while she made lunch. No matter how many things she had to do or think about, she had time for us. She asked us how school was going, and even today she continues to ask us how things were going every time we get home.

She is one of those women we colloquially call "all-terrain", she took care of her home, her family, studied and worked. Honestly, I don't know where she got so much energy for it. But that fact that I observed since I was a child taught me that nothing is impossible, and that the only obstacle is ourselves.

Mamá estudió en la universidad siempre acompañada de nosotras. No teníamos familia cerca, solo a mamá y papá. Papá trabajaba, y mamá estudiaba. Así que, como éramos niñas, no podíamos quedarnos solas en casa, hasta que llegue a la adolescencia y pude demostrarle a mi madre que era responsable para cuidar de mí misma y mi hermana.

Veía a mamá estudiando para la universidad mientras hacía el almuerzo. No importaba que tantas cosas tuviese por hacer o en que pensar, ella tenía tiempo para nosotras. Nos preguntaba como nos había ido en la escuela, y aún, hoy en día nos sigue preguntando cómo nos fue cada vez que llegamos a casa.

Es de esas mujeres a las que llamamos coloquialmente "todoterreno", atendía su hogar, a su familia, estudiaba y trabajaba. Sinceramente, no se dé donde sacaba tanta energía para ello. Pero ese hecho que observaba desde niña me enseño que nada es imposible, y que el único obstáculo somos nosotros mismos.

Mom taught us how to read, multiplication tables and a lot of important things. We were very diligent in school and high school because behind it, there was a mother who asked questions, helped us and cared about us.

I think I learned even more at home than at school. Because she also taught us how to mix cement, change sockets, plugs, light bulbs, do electrical installations, place ceramics, draw, analyze, memorize quickly, cook, wash, iron, and everything you need to be a functional adult.

After each teaching she told us "learn so that tomorrow you can do things and not depend on anyone."

Mamá nos enseñó a leer, las tablas de multiplicar y un montón de cosas importantes. Éramos muy aplicadas en la escuela y bachillerato porque detrás de ello, había una mamá que preguntaba, nos ayudaba y se preocupaba por nosotras.

Creo que aprendí incluso más en casa que en la escuela. Porque también nos enseñó a batir cemento, cambiar sócates, enchufes, bombillos, hacer instalaciones eléctricas, colocar cerámica, dibujar, analizar, memorizar rápido, cocinar, lavar, planchar, y todo lo que necesitas para ser un adulto funcional.

Después de cada enseñanza nos decía "aprendan para que el día de mañana puedan hacer las cosas y no dependan de nadie".

And that, what you see and what your parents give you as a child, is what makes you who you are as an adult. My mother has taught me so much, that my goals are unconventional. I am the type of woman who does not wait for others to do things for her, I go and do what I have to do, I look for solutions, I try to be practical about everything, and they know me as a person who "knows how to do everything." ". But, it's not me, it's the teachings that God gave me through a wonderful mother.

Currently, I am 26 years old, I will soon turn 27, this April. And mom continues to teach me a lot. She is now a Christian, so she has more supremely valuable knowledge.

But, out of all of this, the phrase that she has implanted in me in adult life is "leave your burdens to God."

Y eso, lo que ves y te brindan los padres de niño, es lo que te hace ser lo que eres de adulto. Mi madre me ha enseñado tanto, que mis metas son poco convencionales. Soy del tipo de mujer que no espera a que los demás hagan las cosas por ella, yo voy y hago lo que debo de hacer, busco soluciones, trato de ser práctica para todo, y me conocen como una persona que "sabe hacer de todo". Pero, no soy yo, son las enseñanzas que me regalo Dios a través de una madre maravillosa.

Actualmente, tengo 26 años, pronto cumpliré 27, en este mes de abril. Y mamá sigue enseñándome mucho. Ahora es cristiana, por lo que tiene más conocimiento supremamente valioso.

Pero, de todo ello, la frase que ha implantado en mí en la vida adulta es "déjale tus cargas a Dios".

How curious life is! We need our parents more in adulthood, because that is when their advice will open the doors we need.

And this phrase in particular is important to me. Leaving your burdens to God means living confidently. Have a calmer lifestyle, healthy for your mental and emotional health, but, above all, be certain that everything will turn out well, or that your problems will be resolved.

Although we are sometimes stubborn, our mothers are always right, so that phrase, even if she doesn't know it, has relieved me more than once.

It has calmed my anxiety, and even my crying. I don't know why adulthood is sometimes so stressful, what I do know is that there are solutions to everything. Which my mother has also taught me.

¡Qué curiosa es la vida! Necesitamos más a nuestros padres en la adultez, porque es cuando sus consejos nos abrirán las puertas que necesitamos.

Y esta frase en particular es importante para mí. Dejarle tus cargas a Dios significa vivir confiado. Tener un estilo de vida más tranquilo, sano para tu salud mental y emocional, pero, por sobre todo, tener la certeza de que todo saldrá bien, o, que tus problemas se resolverán.

Aunque, a veces seamos testarudos, nuestras madres siempre tienen razón, de forma que esa frase, aunque ella no lo sepa, me ha aliviado más de una vez.

Ha calmado mi ansiedad, e incluso, mi llanto. No sé por qué la adultez es en ocasiones tan estresante, lo que sí se es que para todo hay soluciones. Lo cual, también me ha enseñado mi madre.
