Hola Hivers. Saludos fraternos 🤗🌹



Hace más o menos de 1 mes comencé esta serie de dibujos donde imagino cómo serían hoy día los cómic que tanto me gustaban en la niñez.

En esta ocasión las estrellas son Calvin y Hobbes. Aunque la verdad sea dicha: no estaba tan niña cuando salió Calvin a la vida 🤭 pero me gustaban los juegos de palabras que armaba junto a su peluche.

About 1 month ago I started this series of drawings where I imagine what the comics that I liked so much in childhood would be like today.

This time the stars are Calvin and Hobbes. Although the truth be told: I wasn't so young when Calvin came to life 🤭 but I liked the puns he put together with his stuffed animal.

Calvin y Hobbes es una caricatura de periódico del año 1985, creada y dibujada por Bill Watterson. Trata de un niño muy imaginativo y algo hiperactivo como decimos ahora, porque antes decíamos que era muy tremendo, y su tigre de peluche Hobbes, pero para él era un compañero de juegos tan real como cualquier amiguito.


Ambos tenían muchas aventuras, hablaban entre si, disertaban acerca temas de la vida, la política, etc, con gran profundidad. Quizás era por eso que me gustaba tanto este muchachito 🤭


Sus rasgos son de un niño de 3 o 5 años, vive con sus padres, quienes son sorprendidos muchas veces por las preguntas del niño y hace muchas actividades al aire libre con su amigo. Calvin and Hobbes is a 1985 newspaper cartoon created and drawn by Bill Watterson. It is about a very imaginative and somewhat hyperactive boy as we say now, because before we said that he was very tremendous, and Hobbes's stuffed tiger, but for him it was as real a playmate as any little friend.


Both had many adventures, they talked to each other, they talked about issues of life, politics, etc., with great depth. Maybe that's why I liked this little boy so much 🤭


His traits are that of a 3 or 5 year old, he lives with his parents, who are often surprised by the child's questions and does many outdoor activities with his friend. En relación a lo que me ocupa hoy en el post, pensé dibujar a Calvin unos años más adelante, en su época juvenil universitaria.


Las facciones quise dejarlas casi igual como cuando era un niño. Su cabello con pinchos naturales.

In relation to what concerns me today in the post, I thought to draw Calvin a few years later, in his youthful university days.

Su inseparable amigo Hobbes va entre los libros y notas de la universidad. Creo que no ha sido fácil desprenderse de él.

Dibujé un Calvin joven, con ropa fresca, suéter, jeans y zapato deportivo.

I drew a young Calvin, with cool clothes, sweater, jeans and sneakers.

Y por supuesto, lo fibujé al aire libre como siempre le gustó armar sus historias a Calvin y Hobbes. Hasta aquí el trabajo a grafito.


Luego lo subí a la app IbisPaint X para aplicarle color. Y allí se me ocurrió colocarle una patineta. Seguramente siendo Calvin tan inquieto y aventurero, andar en una patineta sería fenomenal.
Apliqué un filtro manga para el fondo.


Y así quedó el trabajo final. Me gustó y espero que a ti también.

And of course, I drew it outdoors as Calvin and Hobbes always liked to put together their stories. So far the graphite work.


Then I uploaded it to the IbisPaint X app to apply color. And there it occurred to me to place a skateboard. Surely Calvin being so restless and adventurous, riding a skateboard would be phenomenal.
I applied a bag filter for the background.


And so was the final work. I liked it and I hope you do too.

Me encantó tu dibujo, creo haber visto a éste dibujo animado hace muchos años, yo tenía una colección de revistas que se llamaban meridianito y creo que allí los ví, me gusta el hecho de que lo hayas ilustrado ya de grande con su amigo, quedó super cool, eres una gran artista.
