MYSTERIOUS CHAPEL // MISTERIOSA CAPILLA... (ENG-SPN)
A few months ago I was walking with my sister @tibaire, through the streets of the city of Caracas Venezuela and she took me to know a very nice park called "El Calvario". While walking through this park I came across an old Chapel or (Church) called "La Capilla de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes" (The Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes).
It was inaugurated on April 27, 1885. During most of the 20th century it was used by many people in the city to celebrate marriages and other religious events.
It was declared a National Historic Monument in April 1994.
BEHIND THIS RELIGIOUS MONUMENT HIDES A TRAGEDY...
The event took place during the course of the 20th century. A taboo subject for the people of that time, because a celibate priest had sexual encounters with a chaste woman, until then a bride and on the eve of a marriage that never took place. For the priest, public repentance and earthly penances were not enough to amend the error of that sin. The guilt tormented him so much that it led him to commit a horrible act "Suicide".
He hanged himself inside the chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes. The chapel was closed and abandoned because of such an embarrassing situation, so much so that for many years the rope with which the priest hanged himself remained inside the chapel.
With the passing of time, people began to take the chapel back, but the story remains forgotten, and so far only its memory lives on in the memories of the elders.
People say that for some time at night, when looking at the chapel, through its round window you could see the lifeless body of that priest hanging from the rope with which he hanged himself. Tales, inventions, urban legends or reality? draw your own conclusions.

Hace algunos meses caminaba junto a mi hermana @tibaire, por las calles de la ciudad de Caracas Venezuela y me llevo a conocer un parque muy lindo llamado el calvario. Al recorrer este parque me conseguí con una antigua Capilla o (Iglesia) llamada " La Capilla de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes".
Fue inaugurada el 27 de abril de 1885. Durante gran parte del siglo XX fue usada por muchas personas en la ciudad para celebrar matrimonios y realizar otros eventos religiosos.
Fue declarada Monumento Histórico de la Nación en abril de 1994.
DETRAS DE ESTE MONUMENTO RELIGIOSO SE ESCONDE UNA TRAGEDIA...
El hecho se dio durante el transcurso del siglo XX. Un tema tabú para la gente de esa época, pues un célibe sacerdote mantenía encuentros sexuales con una casta, hasta entonces novia y en vísperas de un matrimonio que nunca llego a celebrarse. Para el sacerdote el arrepentimiento publico y las penitencias terrenales no eran suficientes para enmendar el error de ese pecado. La culpa lo atormento tanto que lo llevo a cometer un horrible acto "El Suicidio".
Se ahorco dentro de la misma capilla Nuestra Señora de Lourdes. Esta fue cerrada y tirada al abandono por tan bochornosa situación, tanto así que durante muchos años la cuerda con la que el sacerdote se ahorco permaneció dentro de la capilla.
Con el pasar del tiempo la gente fue retomando la capilla nuevamente, más la historia sigue en el olvido, y donde hasta ahora solo su recuerdo vive en las memorias de los más viejos.
Cuenta la gente que durante un tiempo por las noches, al mirar hacia la capilla, por su ventanal redondo podías ver en cuerpo sin vida de aquel sacerdote colgando de la cuerda con que se ahorco. Cuentos, inventos, leyendas urbanas o realidad ? saque usted sus propias conclusiones.
