Hustlers shows the life of a stripper named Destiny (Constance Wu), who works at a New York club house just to get a daily pay and take care of her grandmother.
At first fitting in was her major problem, she lacks the skills of how to perform the magical moves to drain customers pockets.

So she befriended Ramona (Jennifer Lopez), who taught her the rules of the game. They two became close friends and business associates. Ramona introduced her to other rain makers who are good at stripping.
It was all groovy and fun, money was flowing in for a long time, they where meeting their targets and accomplishing their goals.

Then came a year of financial crisis in the whole country, people lost their jobs, companies were closing, no more wealthy/good patronizers, some of the strippers even quit.
The club was still functioning, but cash flow was low, new recruits where hired, who prefer to to go extreme miles with customers like having sex to get paid. Which was the bottom line for Destiny, so she quit, cut off contact with everyone.
Destiny tried getting a stable/corporate job but she was unable, now she have her little baby and grandmother to take care of, with no Job.

Destiny bounced back to stripping, she visited her former strip club, and reconnected with lots of them and met with Ramona again.
This time around, Ramona has a new tactics, she lures her client to a bar and drugs him, then take him to the strip club and make do with his credit card. When the clients call in the next day, she will reply them, that it was fun and done willingly.
Guess what? such cases do not hold any content before the law.

They kept on pushing harder even till her contact list exhaust, it was now a gang something. Amidst all this, Destiny was not comfortable, as she fears the might be caught but Ramona always have her control button.
They went to the extent of fishing random men at beer parlors, then drug them get things done faster. Yet it was not enough, Ramona recruited cracked head girls who are ready to do anything for the money.
They started using homes, which prompted to one of the victims getting hospitalized. That was where one of them disengaged, Destiny was the one that took the pain to handle the situation but Ramona was busy bailing one of the new recruits.
Destiny warned Ramona on hiring a particular recruit called Dawn, she was a crack head, and was the one who flipped on them when one of the clients threatened and involved the police with evidence.

Ramona the leader served 5 years probation and others got minimal punishments. The movie was more of Destiny and Ramona telling their friendship story and hustle to a reporter for publication. And yet some how the reporter finds a void in between also helping both parties to reconnect to each other.

I personally was really interested in seeing this movie, because during the promotion their where lost of celebrities involved. So I expected a bang and hit, I didn't even expect to see Constance Wu or J'Lo taking the main role. Cardi B hyped the movie a lot but at last what she did was just a feature, likewise Lizzo and Usher.
They did there best, at least 40mins of the movie was much lively than last minutes.
