My Actifit Report Card: December 11 2019

Today I woke up feeling crummy, but it got better as the day went on.

I got lots of steps at work. I was working on a Slimline door. It’s a long process so, while the machine is doing its thing, I usually walk around instead of just standing there idle.

Here’s a drawing of the complete door.



The stiles and rails are slimmer than usual (only 2.375 inches wide instead of the standard 4.494 inches) in order to maximize the glass area. The part where the lock goes in is wider; it's the same width as a stile on a regular door.

Here’s a picture that shows the finished lock stiles still on the machine. The picture is cropped to focus in on the wider part where the lock goes.



And here it is uncropped, so you can see the whole length.



It takes a long time to do because of the shape. Usually, we have a tool that shapes the sticking side in one go, but because this isn’t a straight piece, it has to be done in several steps.

Anyway, that’s all I have to report for today.
