Let It Snow

Finally A Snow Fall

Let me talk about the details on my drawing for today's advent challenge. The elements that I think will always be there for this specific kind of art that I do will be my favorite space fillers. This kind of art requires scraping off a lot of colored areas to give it some fun and quirky details like the naruto cloud on the top left and the dotted pattern in the sky. These are my favorite fillers whenever I could not think of any thing to add. These are my safe options especially when I do not have the time to think. A new filler that I recently noticed the importance of will be the shrub with leaves that look like pine needles you can see them on the lower left corner of this drawing. Now I have three choices but the pine needle may now always be my choice because it can only work for certain themes.

My drawing shows three children having fun in the snow. Finally it is snowing they had been waiting for this moment so they can have fun together. One is creating a snow angel far left of the screen. The other is sticking his tongue out to catch a snow flake and the last one is simply merry to see the snow fall.

I started my drawing with the image of a boy in the middle then the boy to the right. I was thinking how can I fill the sky with details that are not boring. Filling it with snow flakes could be boring so I thought I will create an aurora which is that dotted pattern above the boys. The snow angel is the last detail I added to keep the balance on the screen. Last detail but definitely helpful is defining the scene. The trees on the left are also my finishing touches and they worked well with my winter scene. The shrubs on the bottom most part are just an after thought. To keep again the balance I had to add something there.
