Laguna Colorada

Laguna Colorada (4278m) - Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve. Altiplano, Bolivia. The orange in the lake is from pigmentation in algae while the white is islands of borax.

In news from Grenada, Tropical Storm Gonzalo is expected to become the Atlantic's first hurricane of the 2020 season and is heading our way. I will keep you posted when I get a chance of what our plans are.

Hello @intrepidphotos,

It is an impressive photograph. Well balanced it captures the beauty of the yellowish earth with a whitish haze and behind the mountains and the clear bluish sky with white clouds over the peaks. very beautiful.

Bolivia is spectacular. Of course, my pictures don't look like THAT! I was in Grenada right as COVID broke out. It is too small for me to want to be there in a hurricane. Be safe and take pictures!

Oh!! So sorry! I had no idea! I have been watching the Tropical Storm and hopefully the Tropical Depression, although, from my own experience, I have received more damage with the tropical depressions. Be safe and I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

It passed just to the south of us as a tropical storm (as never made hurricane status) which we were grateful for.

I am happy to hear that. I lived in Florida for a short while (temporary for a job) and the house was on the beach. The hurricane flattened the whole small town and took down every house. I had moved inland to a hotel for the storm and was amazed when I came back to no town.

I am very happy to hear you are safe. A boat? You live on a boat? I must say that I am jealous!!

Yes they can do a lot of damage. I hope never to see one while on the boat.

This is our boat

Oh, she's a beauty! I love St. Martin and all the islands. I love island hopping, although some are better than others as you well know. But, I love the different cultures, mixing and blending until they find their own.

I was down in in Columbia when it broke out and got back to the States 5 days before lockdown. I really didn't believe they would lock us out, but, yes, indeed. My brother was on the last plane that was allowed to land and they shut the airport behind him.

Yikes.

I feel for you in your situation, especially the kids and the general "stuck in place" with nowhere to go. I hope things are easing up a bit, although as far as the states are concerned, some of the opened up states are closing back down with too much socializing and spreading. People. People. A few simple rules.

I look forward to following you and your adventures. Mine has been stifled her for a moment or three. Be well and stay safe. I love your cat. And yes, I am still jealous.
