Today's Video and Drawing:

Entire sketch thus far:

As January is getting well under way I am trying more and more to hone my New Year's schedule. Attempting new things this year, such as video, does not mean I can be lax in my art making.

The Goal is to move towards daily art making and a more consistent schedule.

My plan is to make the first half of my 'work days' be as busy as can be managed. A set time with breaks and lunch are just part of what is most likely needed to reach these goals.

I knew I wanted a blog to be part of that and after much consideration realize Steemit is still the best platform for that.

With website on hold for now, sticking with various platforms such as society6, Redbubble (possibly artad I think it is called that I have seen other Steemians use) I'll continue to use that as my foray into more online venues for art.

Knowing full well that animals are always a passion of mine, there seems no reason to not have this year's art goal be focused mainly on them.

I'm sure there will be many new tea parties and other anthropomorphised moments for my furry creatures in art this year. And today's sketch is surely an example of that.

Wanting to make a tea party of Frenchbulldog and Otter was the impetus for this one. The sketch is laid out, but I'm thinking to add a teapot in the mouth of the otter tomorrow, as well as lay the ground colour and get that started.

I think it's important to mix inspiration and passion for a thing with consistency and determination.

Do any of you set a specific daily/weekly/monthly schedule for your art/video/crafts/at home work?

Do you recommend any of the online places to sell your art, both as prints and on items such as housewares other then the couple I have mentioned?

Well, that is my post for today, I hope all of you have a fine day and find time to be creative today as well.

I have always appreciated the amount of thought and formatting you put into your posts, and I must say I really enjoyed the addition of the video. I'm so glad to see you're still quite active in the Steemit community. Can't wait to do a bit of backtracking and see some of what I've missed!

These two make a lovely odd pair for a tea party. Love the idea of adding a tea pot to the otter's mouth. Will he be pouring the tea, perhaps? hehe
