Did you noticed,

that in the latest Blade Runner they totally missed Roy Batty - the replicant?
The movie was soo long, it wouldn't hurt to squeeze him in, somehow.
Even if he died in the first movie.
He's the replicant for Christ's sake! He can be resurrected or remade or something.
Now as Rutger Hauer is dead, we are doomed to use deep fakes.
I call that a missed opportunity.
