Art - Graffiti Joker

avatar

Hello people!

Posting some fresh Joker fan-art piece today, tried some different approach. Will post steps below. Drawing was sketched on paper with a pen, then done digitally in Adobe Flash with a help of Wacom drawing pad. Those are the tools, here's the artsy fartsy part :D

After a bunch of anatomy sketches on paper, I did some weird drawings of sorts, let my hand loose and the results were not that good at all, needed a stress relief in this quarantine situation, to ease the mind a bit.

In all those sketches and random stuff this one popped out of nowhere, I drew the mouth first, then the rest, and the mouth was out of place, just went with it, I guess. It was quite interesting graffiti like approach, so I decided to have a go at it at a personal computer :D :D

These are the steps:

The pen sketch, nothing much to talk about here, one of many random drawings, idea popped out from nowhere

After taking a photo I imported it in Adobe Flash and drew the lines all over with a brush tool

Added some details here and there to make it look more authentic and a bit different from the original sketch

Color work here, just a paint bucket to fill all the surfaces

This part was a bit tricky, worked on shadows and lighting here, using pen tool to select surfaces and bucket tool to fill it up, after that dis some brush work too

07 - Final step

This was a touch up, exported the image from flash and imported it in Photoshop to do some stuff with lights and voila :D Jokerface done :)

Have fun and stay healthy people! See you around!!!
