Entry for Artstorm contest week #1 “Crown”
The word “Crown” was one of my inspiration sources for this piece of mixed media art that I created.
A princess, queen, goddess, the quintessence of beauty and power, with an oversized tiara, THE CROWN.
I used a styrofoam head that I found in a crafts store, I painted it with lots and lots of silver layers and I glued rhinestones and false lashes, even some old contact lenses. I am all about re-cycling and re-purposing. I also used lots of lots of rose quartz nuggets to make her hair.

Rose Quartz is the crystal of love, and because of this detail, I decided that my queen 👸 is in fact Freya, the Goddess of Love in Norse Mythology.
