Possible Banning Of Russia Is A Joke.

I was reading an article last night about how Russias data that was handed over regarding their athletes is not adding up. This is now raising alarms bells again and there will be a possible hearing to see if Russia can compete at the Tokyo Olympics. The data in question was from the period 2012 -2015. This was in an arranged deal for the reinstatement of the Russian Anti Doping Agency. The funny thing is all the positive test readings are missing and this has raised a concern as obviously they are hiding all of the positive results.

We know how bad it really was when the whistle blower was part of the documentary Icarus. The Olympic Committee at the time didn't really want to know and only showed any interest when they realised they were on camera.

What I don't get is how these countries can vote another country out when they are not clean either. There is so much hypocrisy going on and the world athletics is or has already become a joke. I would actually say it has been a joke ever since 1976 onwards when steroids were first introduced.

Tokyo 2020 I say let them all go. The Olympic Committee should have better tests in place to catch everyone.

If you are doing something and are cheating and you are beaten by a better cheat you can't call that person a cheat. That is how I see this and the rest of the world are worried that their cheaters are going to get beaten by the Russian who have taken cheating to the next level. I am sure if the Russians could stick metal parts into their athletes to make them stronger they would.

The advancements in modern medicine regarding doping have left the testing laboratories scratching their heads. The problem with sporting events like the Olympics is they happen every 4 years and an athlete knows exactly what is required in order to beat the system using a calculated time table.

Russia's biggest problem was this cheating or doping program was government backed and being done on a grand scale. Other countries are no different to what the Russians are doing but it is being done privately by the individual athletes or running "clubs" as a group effort.

If everyone came clean and was honest how many athletes would take part in the Olympics? I think the damage has been done already and if athletes want to abuse their bodies and risk their health then let them. The World Records we have seen over the last 20 or 30 years are most likely not natural and we would be foolish to think they are.

The same happens with politicians as we all know they are corrupt. When one gets caught everyone turns on that person even the other corrupt politicians do as well. More for the fact you were stupid enough to get caught that the act of being corrupt and this is how I see the athletes.

I was turned off from watching athletics when we had Ben Johnson and Florrence Griffith Joyner all caught up in a steroid training group along with Maurice Greene. For me it cheapened the whole thing as it was not about your ability any more, but how good your program was.

If we look back at the Eastern Block lady athletes from the last 30 or 40 years they were fairly butch to say the least. Most of these girls could do a manual laborers days work and on the way home go kick start jumbo jets at the airport to relax. The documentary highlighted something that 99 percent of us kind of knew already. I didn't realise at the time it was all sports as it just creates more fun watching these freaks now. That is what these individuals have managed to turn these sports into now, a bloody "freak show". The only thing is now my game of spot the juiced up ones is now spot the one who isn't juiced up and it is hard to find any.

I'm glad you say the truth. Russia is just hated by a lot of countries, I guess because it's the biggest one. And they can do anything to make it out from the game. We are almost in 2020 and still acting like in the first century or even before. I don't even know when the racism will stop. I guess never.

I am just going to comment on here with my main account because I can't seem to get things working on STS. I was able to post, but I have not been able to see other peoples posts or comment. I am not even sure any of the auto voting is working. This might be an interesting documentary to watch.

Although I agree with you that many countries have had athletes caught cheating and banning a country having some athletes doping is hypocritical since many other countries have been caught. In this case I think it is reasonable as the country was found supporting a doping operation and then made a deal to be reinstated. Only to not follow through on their end of the deal. So in my opinion the main reason behind a possible Russia ban is the country itself.
