Happy day everyone, today I share my beautiful and sublime Sunday with some beautiful images obtained on my trips to the state of Amazona from some of its beautiful places. This state is located in the south of the country, it borders the states of Bolívar and Apure and with Brazil and Colombia. Its capital is Puerto Ayacucho. In this region there is an indigenous diversity of approximately 17 ethnic groups, which stand out among the Yanomami, Guahibo, Piaroa and Yekuana, each with their different language, religions, traditions and customs. This visit is truly spectacular, especially knowing the communities and their people, a great life experience.

The house on the stone

Casa de piedra.jpg

The house on the stone was built in 1965 by Juan Riverola Giralt, an immigrant of Cuban origin dedicated to the construction area, who settled in Puerto Ayacucho in the 1960s. This building constitutes a tourist attraction for all visitors to Puerto Ayacucho for its special construction characteristics. Today it works as a place of tourist interest and viewpoint of the city. It is a house built on two probably granite rocks using local materials such as local tree woods, although concrete was also used and it is accessed by a staircase that surrounds the stone on which the house stands. The set contrasts with the surroundings offering an attractive and unusual view to the passerby.

Going home to that house must take a lot of steps so the people who stay there should be very fit.
