A Sublimely Beautiful Sunday!!!
There was a tiny bit of sun out so that was enough for us to say, lets get out there and take some photos!
I know you cannot make out the tiny dots that are silhouetted on the top of the hill, but the clue would be in the upcoming holidays :)
You can almost make out the good sized turkeys. They were close by when I drove past but had been moving away as they looked for food in the harvested corn field. Very smart to keep a distance especially because of Thanksgiving being right around the corner.
In addition to the turkeys, we saw plenty of geese. Half in the water half standing around on the ice.
Funny thing was the pond on the very other side of the road had nearly zero geese in it. Seems like they like to flock together, yet they have little fights break out every few minutes lol!

Ben of course took this wonky photo. He was shooting my camera out the car door, so he has that excuse. Notice the millions of broken up ice detritus from the surface of the lake that had been frozen but is now open again!

Beautiful pics, @old-guy-photos! But what is wonky about Ben’s picture? Maybe it’s just my untrained eye, but I think it’s gorgeous!
He is not used to my camera, so it is not level lol. I always tell him the water will run off of his page like that!
I can feel the winds of change again. Feels like its getting warmer instead of colder. The seasonal landscape is so colorful against the no longer foliage.

Turkeys? Do you ever get them free for Thanksgiving?
You can. I am too lazy. They used to be all over our back yard on the farm. Kind of like fishing, then you have to clean them. I hear they also have a slightly gamey because of their diet vs the store bought ones.
Yes, i guess slaughtering and gutting is a tedious thing
