#Beersaturday - Collective Arts Brewing: The Next IPA!

Collective Arts Brewing is back again with another artistic entry of their IPA series. Let's explore the art and the beer.

STEEM Beerologist fans will have seen other articles I have penned featuring the art and beer of Collective Arts Brewing https://collectiveartsbrewing.com/ They brew a wide variety of beers but that doesn't water down their IPA game at all. On the contrary, they explore and push the boundaries which must lead to discoveries that contribute to improvements in their other beers.

They are also very smart in their branding as they incorporate art into the theme and labels on the cans. If the beer wasn't enough to make you a fanboy, they incredibly noble and thespian of local artists is sure to. Though I am not the biggest Collective Arts fan I know, I do make sure to pick up the new IPA as it is released.

In case you were wondering, there have been IPA No. 1 through 10 and I have had them all. They have ranged widely from standard to Double or Imperial, brut, sour to very very light yet tasty. IT is always a mystery which you will get next if you are not hovering over their blogs and social media. I have my own Beerologist social media to handle and just buy it when I see it.

Here is the latest one - IPA No. 11

IPA No. 11 is pretty well-explained on the simple label if you know your ingredients. They had me at Mosaic hops as that is one of my favourite two (Galaxy being the other) with its bold and sweet body. I am seeing plenty of Idaho lately strangely enough in the East Coast IPAs and really don't know it from any other. Houblons are the incredible secret ingredient only Canadians know about and are such strange magic. Actually that is just french for hops so I am pulling your leg. Lactose beer is often referred to as milkshake because it uses lactose sugar as opposed to dextrose or other standard sugars to add the alcohol in the brewing process. Makes for a creamy and foggy beer I find nice and sweet.

You can see it pours good and hazy enough to make the bearded hipsters like it even before tasting. I like these Tulip style glasses for my IPAs as they are great for swirling to activate the flavour, show the colour withthe thick belly, and it seems to compress the bouquet for a fuller taste. Now I sound like a hipster. Best hit this site to pick the best glass for your beer https://vinepair.com/articles/best-beer-glasses-2018/

The art listed on the story part of the website https://collectiveartsbrewing.com/stories/ipa-11/ is Mystery Meat Design. I thought it was a kinda cool city scape and reminded me a little of the hills city of Hamilton where the brewery originated. Then, my little one came in while I was taking that shot and asked, "Hey is that a rocket popsicle?" https://www.popsicle.com/products/popsicle-firecracker I had to pause and look and what do you know? Kids are more perceptive than adults sometimes. The melting on the bottom along with the obvious stick should have registered with me. Seems I was more interested in taking quick pics and getting to drink the beer to pay enough attention.

They spell the ingredients out for you again on the standard vertical stripe and you can see there is wheat in with the barley which will make for a good texture and buzz. Kinda funny that they prompt you to text "MMDESIGN" to the number in order to contact the artist Mystery Meat Design.

If you are looking to explore Collective Arts and are not in time to catch this IPA, I would suggest getting Life in the Clouds. https://collectiveartsbrewing.com/beers/life-in-the-clouds/ It has recently crasked my top 10 of go-to beers I end up picking up repeatedly. I really should do a beer Saturday post updating you on my current top 10.

I’ve hear good things. They contacted me a while back to see if I’d market some of their beers on other SM platforms.
