BTC - It is actually pretty hard to explain...
I haven't had to explain bitcoin to many people recently, but when I did, I realized it wasn't as easy as I remembered
I recently tried to explain exactly how bitcoin works, and it didn't go that well.
In my head it all makes sense and seems simple enough, but when I started to really get into the details it quickly got very confusing.
I started talking and I just watched their eyes start glazing over...
At that point I knew I had lost em.
Anyways, this is what I had thought I sounded like, but it turns out I was probably sounding bit more like the second one...

It makes sense in my head, but to people that have no idea how it works, they just nod and smile and their mind wonders...

A lot of times trying to explain things with words to other people is just waste of time... Things have to be simple enough that people can just show by examples...
Let us know when you figure out the bitcoin elevator pitch.
It's a perfect storm for BTC right now. There will soon come a massive BTFD opportunity that generations will look back on and say "My daddy bought the dip and now we have this mansion because of it!"

Here in Italy mainstream information hardly speaks of BITCOIN. Many do not know what BITCOIN is.
It’s not a simple thing as you point out. Most of it explained with terms which have to be explained with other terms that have to be explained. Once you get there your listener is lost.
I think there was a contest once called the best elevator ride explanation. There were some really good explanations. I will see if I can find it.
