I started reading about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency a couple of years ago. I didn't know what it was so I didn't care to read the articles and just continued scrolling down whenever it comes up on my news feeds. This all changed when I was with a couple of friends eating pizza(Bitcoin and pizza seems to go well together? :-)) and drinking a few pints, and they said that they've invested in Bitcoin.

Nagbago ang lahat habang nagmemerienda kami at umiinom ng ilang bote ng beer, at may nakapagsabi na bumili daw sila ng bitcoin.

They explained that, in 1989, a mysterious dude created this digital currency without the backing of a government or central bank and where transactions can be seen by anyone in a public ledger. I bought into the idea after 'mysterious dude', and was happy with my discovery.

Ipinaliwanag nila na noong 1989 ay nilikha ng isang misteryosong tao ang isang digital currency na walang tulong mula sa gobyerno o bangko sentral at kung saan ang lahat ng galaw ng perang ito ay pwedeng makita ninoman sa isang pampublikong ledger o listahan. Tanggap ko na ito doon pa lang sa 'misteryosong tao', at masaya sa aking natuklasan.

I was intrigued and became interested in it shortly after. I did a little research and decided to try it out, but I was a little disappointed because there wasn't any of the exchanges here in the Philippines.

Namangha ako dito at naging interesado simula noon. Pinag-aralan ko ito at nakapagpasya akong sumubok. Nabigo akong dahil walang exchange sa Pilipinas.

What can you do with this app?

With this app, you can pay your bills, buy load for your prepaid mobile number, send/receive money from/to a bank or other e-wallets, send/receive cryptocurrency, convert your pesos to cryptocurrency and back, buy game credits, load your beep card wallet, and pay with Coins.ph QR.

Sa app na ito, pwede kang magbayad ng bills, bumili ng cellphone load, magpadala at tumanggap ng pera sa isang bangko o ibang e-wallets, magpadala/tumanggap ng cryptocurrency, ipalit ang pesos sa cryptocurrency, bumili ng game credits, loadan ang iyong beep card wallet, at gamitin pambayad ang Coins.ph QR.

Promos
As of now, they have the following promos: instant 10% rebate on prepaid mobile load, 5 pesos cashback on bills payments, with additional P100 pesos for 5 unique bills in a week. This changes from time-to-time so I just check for announcements on their website or mobile app.

Sa ngayon ay ito ang mga promo nila: 10% rebate sa cellphone load at 5 piso na cashback sa bills payment, may extra kang P100 kung limang bill ang babayaran mo sa loob ng isang linggo. Nagbabago ito kaya tinitingnan ko na lang sa website nila o di kaya ay sa app.
