Just a sunset before lockdown

avatar

It is approximately 2 weeks now that we are prompted to stay at home so that we can stop the spreading of this deadly virus. I have stopped moving out of the house, unless necessary. Luckily, living in a small village, so I barely used to see people when I was going out for my walks or photo shoots.

That is, until the virus beginning.

After that, everybody magically remembered that there is a beach road and remembered that they can go out with their families or jogging. Still, there was always enough space between all of us.

Today, the prime minister decided and announced that a general lock down shall be applied as of tomorrow, March 23rd 06:00.

I am not sure how I feel. I definitely wish the best for my country, for my fellows citizens and for the whole world.
However it will continue to be a difficult situation and I am full of uncertainty for the future.

Don't be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart.
Roy T. Bennett

But we cannot go on worrying, we have to endure it and do whatever it is we can so that we can get out of this. Soon. Without losses.

So, today was a cold day in March. But I so wished to go visit the sunset.
And it is a good thing I did, because the sun looked so amazing, so bright and big, as if it knew that we will not see it from so close for a long time.

And I made a few shots of course :)
But then I was too cold and went inside again..

And there is a short timelapse (first time, I promise it will better next time)

Which country are you from? How are things in your country?

Hi @katerinaramm, Thank you for sharing the lovely photos. Very welcome bit of beauty in these days.
In New York, we are also in lockdown. This seems to be the epicenter in the U.S. The governor has begun to convert large public buildings (convention center, college campuses) into hospital facilities. He is anticipating a need well beyond what our healthcare infrastructure can accommodate. He suggests a shortage of essential medical supplies.
So far, my family is well, and reasonably comfortable, though it is hard to keep a 15-yearold (granddaughter) in lockdown :))
I hope you and your family stay well.
Regards,
AG

It is so nice to hear from you after all this time :) I am very glad that you and your family are safe.
It is not easy to keep a youngster at home, I also do not know if/how I would cope if I was an adolescent.

We are so lucky nowadays to have all these means of communications, I hope that everyone can use them wisely to their benefit.

Stay safe my dear @agmoore, it is a pleasure to see you also on hive
