Well, it was good while it lasted. Moving away from Brave Browser

I read r/Privacy the other day and followed this post about Brave Browser.

Apparently, you can no longer disable the BAT thingy (=3rd party full KYC issued token), and not only is this bad on mobile:

Something similar happens on the desktop version. "Disabling" BAT only make the icon disappear. If you check better in the browser's task manager you'll see 3 processes related to BAT which are still there (they say "inactive" ) and wasting memory.

which is a big NO on top.

What are the alternatives?

Well, for me it's back to Firefox on desktop, and Firefox Focus on Mobile.

BAT is the watch ad for shitcoin addon they offer. apparently it's a complete mess, even if you do not even want to use it

Not only that, you can't even withdraw your BAT balance. Pretty fucking pointless if you ask me.
