Mosquitoes are assholes but they are very smart

Every summer we have a problem with those blood sucking assholes, the mosquitoes, and naturally I was afraid that we will have another drama with those insects this summer like any other. My worry was even bigger because, in case that you don't know, my daughter was diagnosed with an auto immune disease in March, an auto-immune diabetes, so any wound on her body causes me headaches.

So, for this summer I armed myself with the sprays, creams, a torch, a freaking flamethrower, lol - anything to avoid her getting bitten by those vampires.

But, for one obvious reason, she had not a single bite, the mosquitoes avoided her like a deadly threat. I, on the other hand was bitten tip to toe, but I found out why this happened.

For some reason, the mosquitoes felt that her blood contains a very high concentration of a very dangerous anti-bodies and in my opinion that is a reason why they avoided her in a big circle.

I literally saw a mosquito hitting the breaks a few inches from her and flying other direction.

Short explanation. An old age diabetes that we all accustomed to hear about does not include any antibodies, a pancreas is simply old and tired and does not produce enough insulin for consumption, so those people can give blood transfusion to other people without a health hazard. It is not advisable because they probably have a high level of the blood glucose, but they can. Nothing will happen.

But, a person with an auto-immune diabetes has a few kinds of antibodies present in their blood and those anti-bodies destroyed a function of pancreas to produce any insulin whatsoever. Those anti-bodies in big concentration are deemed to be extremely dangerous for a healthy individual so they can not give their blood to anyone.

I don't know how mosquitoes know that my kid's blood is dangerous, but this is one proof more how the insects are adaptive and that quality is possibly a reason why they survived for so long.
