Let It Snow: A Pancake Morning

avatar
(Edited)

Looking out the window this morning I was surprised at the snowfall. I do live in Canada but it’s only the 1st of December and a bit early for the snow to start falling.

The Blue Jays are at the back deck railing anxiously awaiting breakfast.

“Come on, Lady, not bread crumbs. We need warm pancakes!”

Sunday cat doesn’t know what to think when the snow stuck to the window and blocked his view.

This snowfall will be great for skiing and other winter sports.

The driveway-

Hubster was out early using the snowblower and the driveway is clear.

It’s definitely is a pancake morning. I made blueberry ones while Hubby was clearing the driveway.

Hubby enjoyed them when he came inside. The Blue Jays were happy when I cut up a couple to toss outside for them.

I like a nice pancake, not had any for a while now. I'm hoping the snow holds off until after our election

You could whip up a batch of pancakes, Wales. They are good the next day. A lady I know uses them like pop tarts and freezes and toasts them later.

Yes, I should. Maybe if I can find a recipe book I just might.

The first snowfalls have a romance about them but I live in Ottawa so I'm not fooled! Love the bluejays. We are supposed to get snow tonight.

Thanks @kansuze. Ottawa, eh? I’ve been there a few times. 😊

The temperature is hovering a bit above freezing this aft. I don’t mind As long as it isn’t too cold.

I haven't made it to PEI yet. It's -7 C here today and we're expecting our second big snowfall. The snow from the last one is almost gone.

You are much welcome Jo / @redheadpei 🙂
For last night they predicted some snow, but this morning is only cold and it is wet outside. Instead of snowing it must have rained over night .
I wish you a nice day and work week 🙂

I’m happy you enjoyed the snow photos. It’s raining today so it will take some of the snow away.

Yes the birds were here this morning waiting for more pancakes but I didn’t have any left so they had to settle for their regular food. 😂

Blue Jays, blueberry pancakes...
what else was blue after the snow fell December 1st? Probably your husband's
hands
from the frost after shoveling all that fluffy snow!❄

(Checking if anyone's mind was in the gutter!)

You're a sweetheart to give the jays some warm nutrients! Hope you are enjoying the beautiful snowfallen scenery, Jo!

Haha Nina. Long winter wooly underwear helps.

It rained the next day and took a lot of the snow away but it will be back. 💕

Thanks for stopping by @njord. Today a lot of the snow has disappeared but winter is upon us and it will come and go the next couple months. 😊 ⛄️
