Caturday in the museum!

Yesterday I did a feathered Friday post with photos of birds showcased in our museum in Cape Town, South Africa.

This morning just for fun i want to do a similar post but do a Caturday display of the big cats found on African Soil!

Hope you enjoy it!

Please note I've photographed the displays to feature these cats just for the sake of a fun post.

The magnificent Cheetah

A Serval

These cats are all predators and live in the wild. Unfortunately due to urbanization their numbers have shrunk incredibly. It's a sad state of affairs.

A Carcal, direct translation from Afrikaans is a red cat

A Small Spotted Cat (wild)

Once again these are only a few of the few fantastic beasts found on our awesome African continent. I wouldn't recommend any of these as house pets but they sure are magnificent to look at!

That's a great caturday ^^ .. I only know those cats from documentaries, but seeing them in front of you must be really impressive. My favorite was always th e cheetah for its tremendous speed :).. My cats at home are not even close to this one, as clumsy as they are ^^
