El primer paso para realizar este dibujo fue realizar el dibujo de ambas tomas de su mirada bien centrada en el soporte, una vez conseguido el boceto inicial comencé a bordear todo el contorno de los ojos con colores piel y rosado y definir mediante trazos igual que con el grafito las áreas de los parpados, para posteriormente comenzar a definir el iris y la esclerótica

Cuando hice mi investigación acerca del color de ojos de Benedict Cumberbatch argumentaban que poseía heterocromía en ambos ojos, es por esta razón que se aprecian dos tonalidades diferentes en su iris, por esta razón seleccione varios tonos de verde y azul, tonos amarillos y marrón, es muy importante definir desde el principio las áreas de luz para dejarlas en blanco usando color es más complicado retirar completamente el trazo, comencé pintando el área de la pupila con un marrón muy oscuro y el color para el iris lo fui añadiendo desde el centro hacia afuera con trazos que semejaran la textura del ojo comenzando con unos amarillos y marrón los más parecido a los tonos miel que tiene en su ojo ubicados más cerca de la pupila hasta llegar a los tonos más azules.

Luego para pintar la esclerotica use tonos rosados, amarillos y grises para lograr el tono deseado respetando siempre las áreas iluminadas y luego dibuje unas líneas simulando pequeñas venas de los ojos con un color rojo, líneas muy finas casi imperceptibles pero que ayudan mucho a dar realismo al dibujo.

Un dato que me ha servido mucho a la hora de dibujar las pestañas es tomas en cuenta la curvatura y posición en la que encuentran, las del medio se ven casi recta y son más cortas porque están vistas desde el frente mientras que las de la parte final de los ojos si se logra ver la curvatura porque están vistas de lado, además de esto los trazos para realizarlas deben ser expresivos y rápidos para lograr más naturalidad.
