Would you have done things differently?

This post is one of the many life's questions I often ask if we knew some things. Today my pastor released news of a fallen soldier in Christ. A Christian brother that has walked with him in ministry for 15yrs met a terrible accident and was declared death hours later. It was indeed a sad thing to hear and I can only pray that God gives his family the grace to go through this. It is indeed a hard one to take for anybody losing someone you love in that way.

This news just brought memories of the death of a beloved sister who passed away too just last month. I was in the Choir with the said Sister and was quite fond of her. She had been through a lot in life and finally passed away. After today's news, and thinking about this Sister, I began to think on the so many things I could have done differently if I knew they will go so soon.

The Word of God advises us to do good as often as there is an opportunity to but we are sometimes carried away by our own troubles and life's issues that we neglect others and the need to put this scripture into practice until it is too late. We even sometimes think of doing things to bless others but we keep postponing it until it is too late. These are the things that flooded my mind as I pondered about the sudden death of these two brethren.

Would I have done things differently if I knew they die so soon? I definitely think so and it is a pity I did not make every opportunity to do it when they were here. I continue to learn some good lessons in life and this has taught me to always seize every opportunity to show love to everyone I encounter. We should not say I will do it tomorrow or the next day when you are able to do it at that moment. Nobody knows what the next day brings; So we must make use of every opportunity with some sense of urgency.

God bless!!! 🙏🙏
