Solid Community

In the past few days, the community spirit in the Steem network is being tested once again by the recently announced acquisition of Tron’s Justin Sun of STeemit Inc. It is undoubtedly one of the most intriguing events that have happened on this network. Everyone is talking about the possible pros & cons of this acquisition since there aren’t much details from either side of the party, Tron & Steemit.

It’s really a confusing time for the community however, due to the quick response of the Witnesses, I managed to understand what is going on the surface. As much as I want to link here all of the posts that I read, let me just direct you to the Trending page since most of the credible articles about it can be found.

In most of the articles I read, it seems that Sun’s acquisition of Steemit Inc has given him the power to greatly influence the future of the Steem network as well. His purchase of Steemit also includes a big sum of steem which he could use at his own will. It’s powerful enough to assign his own witnesses that could work under his control.

That being said, it is also mentioned on some of the posts that we are not necessarily doomed. I for one believed that there is a bright future for our Steem network.

It would take the whole community to unite and participate in the Witness voting. As far as I know, the current list of Witnesses are in tuned with the vision of the Steem community and I’m confident enough to say that any of these witnesses are on our side.

Voting for them only requires a few minutes of your time. So, go ahead and show your support to the Steem network and the community that is backing it. Cheers!
