Cooking oils

There are so many cooking oils out there. How to choose something fairly affordable, healthy etc?

I saw this table of smoking temperature of various oils

Based on this table, Avacado oil seems to be the highest smoking temperature. For chinese cooking, stir frying can tend to create smoke, when the oil gets heated over they smoke point. Avacado oil seems to be best to suppress smoke.

Suppressing smoke, means also evaporated oils do not float around and stick onto kitchen cabinets, fridge and what not, and become oil stains.

So

Avocado oil 270C/520F
Canola oil (Rapeseed) refined 204C/400F
Corn oil 230C/446F
Peanut oil refined 232C/450F
Rice Bran oil refined 232C/450F
Soyabean oil 234C/453F

from a cost perspective, we should try to use Soyabean/Peanut or Rice Bran oils. If money is no concern, Avocado is a clear winner.
