Broulee Beach | gouache painting on watercolour paper

I also love to create with analog materials, not always digital. Here's a painting I did using gouache paints on watercolour paper of Broulee Beach.

Broulee Beach is located on the NSW South Coast of Australia, near Batemans Bay. I've been visiting there ever since I was a child and have many great childhood memories there. We stay at Tomakin, which is a little coastal village about 15km away from Batemans Bay.

Now that I have children of my own, we've begun to take them there also on family holidays. It's about a 5-6 hour drive from where we live, sometimes 7 hours when the kiddies are very young and need a lot of rest stops ... "TOILET MAMA!" ... sheesh.

Anyway, this is how I love the beach the most—stormy, moody and choppy. Not fit for swimming in, of course, in this state, but beautiful to watch. I hope you like it!

So much energy in your painting ~ Really feel the ocean movement and the stormy colours are superb. Love being on the beach when the ocean is silver grey and wild like this. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎
