The Next Few Weeks On HIVE For Me....

The Next Few Weeks On HIVE For Me.....png

So I'm about to go on a little journey....

My family is about to embark on a crazy adventure! We're moving, literally, across the continent and starting a brand new life on the east coast of Canada - Newfoundland to be exact!

A quick little back story...I left my hometown of Toronto years ago and moved out to western Canada. The sole reason, to raise my son.

His mom was from out here and we didn't work out, so I made sure I'd be in my son's life no matter what happened with his mom and I.

Life has a funny way of working out....

I ended up meeting my future wife here and have been blessed with 2 more sons!

On Sunday...The western Canadian experience for me is ending!

My first son (who will be 19 this year) and I will be driving my car with a U-Haul trailer in tow and embarking on this....

Current_Location_to_Glovertown_Directions_MapQuest.png

Over 66 hours of driving....

Over 3600 miles on the road (and water...)

And I'll end up closer to Europe than I will be to Edmonton (where I reside now!)

How's that for a move?

Of course, there is a scheduled detour to Toronto to see my Dad and friends!

My wife and other 2 sons won't be making the drive with us, because it's way too long for a 3 year old and his 1 year old younger brother. So they will fly out in a few weeks after I've moved all our stuff and set up our new home.

And what a new home it will be...I've lived in major cities my entire life, and now I'm going...To the middle of the bush :)

Life....It's awesome! And if you aren't always embracing change, it'll kick you in the butt 😀

We're up for the new challenges....

So over the next few weeks, I'll do my best to keep the content coming! But it'll be mostly in the form of quick updates with pictures / videos of the trip. I want to document everything but at the same time, cell signals and internet is 'sketchy' at best when you are in driving across Canada.

So please forgive me if I'm not writing every day! I'll do my best to keep up to date though!

I still have a few more days before we start our trip and got TONS more to share with you guys this week to...But just wanted to update you on my HIVE journey over the next few weeks!

It's time for another adventure in the life of Jongo lol

Wow, that sounds like a fantastic move and to a different, some would say idyllic, lifestyle.
I am somewhat hankering for a country experience myself, so hopefully I can vicariously have this experience through your travel log :)

Happy and fruitful journeys,

Having your wife and children flying out once set up will certainly motivate you to get things set very quickly

Thank you sir. Yeah I thought it would capture just how big a drive this is. It'll take about 6-7 days of driving, but I'm going to stretch it out.

Jon,

I will be praying that you have a safe trip. Take lots of pictures in the 'sketchy' parts. You can always upload them when the internet is stronger.

Looking forward to seeing your journey. I did something similar (left my wife and 2 kids at home while I moved cross country with my best friend, and then had them follow me out once I set up house) 7 years ago when I moved from Alabama to Colorado (1400 miles... shorter than yours).

Take care friend. :)

This may not be the time or place to discuss this, but I have been using your posts in The Ink Well to help people understand how to build their accounts. I like the 5-500-5000 approach. You're doing such a great job, I would prefer to refer people to CTP rather than duplicate - plus you've got great energy and enthusiasm :) Perhaps when you've moved and settled we could have a chat about developing a joint appoach? Also, we don't have a token (and not sure that we'll have one) so linking with CTP would be good :)

Absolutely. Yeah I'll be out of commission until the first week-ish in July. But drop me aline anytime on Telegram or Discord then :)

I still don't understand why do you move from snow to more snow? :)

Just joking... Wish you the best in your new adventure! 66+ hours of driving will be a challenge... I usually drive every summer around 25 hours (in one direction)... and it can be hard...

Jon it is impressive that you as a Dad put your son first so hats off to you my friend. Sounds like you and your son has an incredible journey ahead of you. The best part will be the time, laughter, and the discusses you will have along the way. This will be very memorable for the both of you.

You both stay safe on this journey, have lots of fun, and make lots of memories.

Hello dear friend @jongolson Good afternoon.
You never know that you have life waiting for us, we believe that we have everything under control and organized in a way, and the whimsical destiny comes and changes everything.
You were in the oste to see what happened to your first family, and you ended up having two
Now new challenges are sure to arise in the east without question. That is what makes you passionate about life.
I wish you an excellent journey. May the success accompany you dear friend

Holy cow! this looks like an amazing road trip! looking forward to the footage and photos.
The good thing about encountering bad signal is you can listen to some good music and maybe find some hidden gems in your collection.

Sending awesome vibes your way!
