Are You In A Race Or Are You On A Mission?

We live in an age of immediate satisfaction but how does this apply to building your business?

Untitled design (55).jpg

I have seen so many times where people want to start a business and they are totally gung ho out of the gate to make a fortune and retire right away. If you watch these people 99% of them are gone within the first three months or less thinking that success should come immediately with little to no effort at all.

Most of this "Success In A Box" outlook comes from the hype and false claims of so many websites online claiming that you can just sign up and start making money. In reality these sites that claim you can make money doing nothing, guaranteed forced spill over, we will promote and build your business for you or anything of the sort are the sites you probably want to stay away from.

If you think about this in a logical way building any business is going to take time. If you start a business offline you will have to invest a lot of money into product, location, business tools and so many other expenses so you will most likely take years to be in profit after getting your investment back. I worked in restaurants for over 30 years and in this business you will most likely spend anywhere from hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars upfront to get the business off the ground and running. The average restaurant will not be in profit for the first 5 years.

Let that sink in for a second, 5 years to make a profit for opening a business and that is provided you are able to get the customers to make this happen. There is a huge risk and many of these businesses don't make it to the 5 year point without closing their doors. If you don't know the in's and out's of the business you are getting into and either know how to run it yourself or pay someone well to run it for you then chances are you will not make it. new businesses open and close everyday, many of them because the owners have a good idea but have no idea of what it actually takes to run and manage a business.

There are a few differences with starting a business online vs. starting a business offline. You don't need near the upfront investment, in fact you can do it for little to no money up front and by investing as you can afford to. There are things you will need to spend some money on to build a sustainable long term business but in reality you can do it for as low as $50 to $100 a month. while this is literally pennies compared to what it would take you to start a business offline it still takes time and effort to be successful.

I would say anyone has the ability to be successful online but the problem is there is about a 97% failure rate of online businesses. Why such a high failure rate? It's simple, most people fall for the hype and false promises of these many scammer sites that are just trying to separate you from your money. It takes investing no matter what business you are in, that doesn't mean you have to invest money but you do need to invest time and effort.

I can't tell you how happy it would make me to see that 97% failure rate turn into success rate but the truth of the matter is people want everything for nothing and in life that is not reality. If we all would take action, put in the time and effort and stick to it until we meet our goals so many lives would be changes for the better. In the end my thought is we all need to get off the fence and put in the time and effort to make our dreams come true and not wait and see how things turn out.

I prefer to taking it as a mission. Aim and the sheer hard work to knock and let the doors be open in favor.

Important distinction between race and mission. A race has a finish line. A mission can continue and can adapt. !BBH

Fantastic advice there Mike, it takes hard work and determination to make it happen, and it's most definitely a long term mission rather than a race, keep up your good work and stay awesome.
