Look What I Found on ReggaeSteem!

It's time for another Look What I Found curation post, and as always I am using this as my entry to participate in the Pay It Forward Curation Contest by @pifc. In their 84th week they want us to look into the ReggaeSteem Tribe to find underappreciated posts we think deserve more upvotes.

Look What I Found.jpg

To be honest, I have never spent too much time browsing this tribe. According to @crypticat, the #jahm or #reggaesteem tags are related to Caribbean culture or Reggae music. Okay, so at least they are not a general tag that can be used for everything and anything. And for major connoisseurs of reggae I can see how having their own tribe geared towards that interest is a huge thing.

I also like the sound of reggae, though I am not so deep into the culture to be fully up to date on who is who and what is what. For this reason I even sold my #jahm tokens after the airdrop. Now, however, I'm eager to see what I can find, just looking at the most recent ReggaeSteem posts.

Irie Gift Shop To Accept JAHM Token, JAHM Wallet Beta by @donald.porter

image.png

Okay, it's a shop! Located in the center of Negril, Jamaica, it sells pipes, papers, smoking figurines, and presumably a whole bunch of other cool stuff... but that wouldn't be anything out of the ordinary. The really awesome reason why I decided to curate this post is: You can pay with cryptos!

They accept BTC, ETH, LTC, unfortunately no DASH, but XRP for those who want to get rid of that centralized stuff in favor for a cool pipe... Even more importantly, however, they are about to accept JAHM the token too!!! That is insane! I mean, do you know what other SteemEngine token you can use to actually buy something tangible? Cause I sure don't.

So go JAHM, I can only say, and go Irie Gift Shop!!! Oh, and I just noticed: on top of everything they are a duty free shop, which I assume means you don't have to pay taxes. How much better could it get? So why don't you visit @donald.porter as well as the shop owner @shaunstorm, to give them some love in form of a fat upvote?

fusion between flamenco and reggae by @elkaos

After the commercial stuff, let's continue with some music. Crossover genres tend to have the best of both (or rather all) worlds, and that certainly applies to the artist introduced by @elkaos. His name is Zuri, hails from Marbella, Spain, and shows us in this video on the example of his song Tesoro how flamenco can be combined with reggae. It actually sounds pretty groovy.

In this post @elkaos provides some info about the artist's musical background, his experimentation with other genres, the albums he has brought out, giving something to look up and listen in for the fans of reggae ... as well as flamenco. I highly recommend checking out both the musician, and the steemian who has introduced him to us!

Daily Tarot Reading | November 14 , 2019 | "1 Day" by @ekqwel22

What does the tarot have to do with reggae music, or the Caribbean? Nothing in particular, you say, or everything in general? Either way, this post is tagged #jahm, and not only this one: @ekqwel22 posts a tarot reading every day. In fact, that's all they do. So if you like tarot, this steemian may be just for you.

image.png

The readings are very simple: They draw three cards, give a summary about it, and even relate it to the current astrological setup. The message of course is very general, but that's what you should expect so you can apply it to any specific situation. So granted, maybe this is completely off-topic for ReggaeSteem, but I still want to include it here as the borderline wildcard option, next to the two other, more definite curatees.

So, that's it for now. Please come back next time to Look What I Found!

@stortebeker, Good to see that you are exploring ReggaeSteem Ecosystem for the first time. If you will check Reggaesteem.io then you will going to see so much more exciting aspects and how much valuable this Ecosystem and JAHM Token is becoming. Stay blessed.
