dCity Investments - weekly update

I’ve been writing about several aspects of dcity so far, but I would like to add to that a weekly update about changes that I have made. Tutorials are great for understanding a certain aspect of the game, but along side these it is great to also be able to get insights on day-to-day strategic choices from players that are a bit further ahead in the game. That is what I will try to provide you with in these weekly updates.

Currently I have two dcities. One on my main account @elbrava, which you can find here. My aim for this city is to simply grow as fast as possible and enter the top200 of dcities. This will likely require me to invest more money to make that happen.

My other dcity is for my @invest4free account, which you can find here. This second account I set up specifically to show that through being active on Hive, you can become an investor for free. You will actually be able to build an investment portfolio that will generate passive income for you through being active on hive.

I have continued buying 1st edition cards and have been very lucky to get two more shopping malls. With 4 shopping malls I do get a profit even with the current crime rate I have of around 30. The real important thing here is that the more Shopping malls I get the bigger my benefit will be.

I also got some Garbage dumps, which are great for popularity and therefore population. I now almost get 100% extra population from population cards.

Also with the war tax still going and my increased income, I now almost get 800 SIM per day. Which basically means I get to buy a new card every day.

Because of the price of Leo going up I was able to make some more investments into dcity for this account.

I got quite lucky because after selling an apartment and factory that I didn’t need, I got a zoo, circus, bank, apartment, police station and gym.

This reduced the crime rate even though I got another bank and my dcity got more popular.

Since needed a lot more population I bought a few luxury homes and basic homes, which further increased my income.

I also decided that it was time to keep the circus and the apartment, since it provided a pretty good income boost.

As you can tell I have now switched to buying 1st edition cards for this account again. I just find them to be better for pure sim income growth.

I am hoping the Leo price goes up further. I have some sell orders waiting at higher price levels. That will allow me to invest even more. Like some crime reduction technologies perhaps.
