Holybreads Brotkrumen: Wie viel sind sie wert? / Holybread's Breadcrumbs: How much are they worth? (Deutsch / English)

Deutsch (English below):

Also in etwa zum fünffachen Preis.

English:

First of all: It is now almost 10 years since I had business in school. When you study law, you have very little to do with numbers and economic processes. Nevertheless I find the whole thing very interesting.

The system of Breadcrumbs reminds me a bit of an economic experiment. Here are the backgrounds:

  • Every 15 minutes, each player receives Breadcrumbs according to his rank. First place: 10,000 second place: 9,686.66 ...
  • These can be transferred to Steem-Engine at any time
  • Half of the proceeds of the game go into the prize pool. 20% of the respective prize pool becomes a buy order on Steem-Engine on Sunday (random time).

The following factors are therefore relevant for the value calculation:

1. How many Breadcrumbs are spent until the payout?

Rangliste.png
Screenshot of the ranking list

Unfortunately, I have not found more precise figures on this. If you look at the ranking list, I estimate a middle six-digit amount per 15 minutes. The reward of quests is included in this calculation, as they are relatively small.

Let's assume it's 500,000 Breadcrumbs (HBBC) per 15 minutes. Then this gives 500.000 HBBC *4 * 24 * 7 = 336,000,000 HBBC per week.

However, the first week starts on Monday at 8 pm (German time, UTC+1). It ends at some point coincidentally on Sunday. Whereby it is not quite clear according to which time zone Sunday counts. Also, you didn't get the breadcrumbs every 15 minutes from the beginning. So I calculate for the first week with only 5 days.

With 5 days, that makes 240,000,000 HBBC until the distribution for the first week.

(Note: because of the unclear output per 15 minutes and the unclear exact time, this is very inaccurate)

2. How high will the prize pool be until the payout?

Currently (10:19 am German time, UTC+1) it is 3,243 Steem. How this will develop is of course unclear. Will the income decrease after the start or will it stay about the same? And when exactly will the payout be?

I am simply counting on a prize pool of 5,000 steem.

With only 20% of that being paid out in buy orders, that makes 1,000 steems.

If all HBBCs were offered as sell orders on Steem Engine at the same price at this time, they would have a value of 1,000 Steem/240,000,000 HBBC = 0.000004166 Steem per HBBC

Currently HBBCs are trading at around 0.00002 Steem per HBBC. That means about five times that price.

But that does not mean, of course, that someone has misspeculated. Because:

  • certainly not all HBBCs will be sell orders on Steem Engine at the time of the distribution. Some will forget it. Others will speculate. In fact, I think it is quite likely that the payout could be higher next week. It will be: 0.2 * (second week income / 2) + 0.2 * (0.8 * first week income / 2). If the income in the second week is also about 10,000 Steem, this would be a distribution of about 1,800 Steem. Provided the income remains the same, the distribution will be higher and higher until the sixth week and then remain constant.

  • the sell orders will definitely not all be the same.

3. What will be the highest sell order that is still being filled?

Steem-Engine.png
Screenshot of Steem-Engine: All sell orders up to a "Total Steem" of an estimated 1,000 Steem will probably be served on Sunday

That is ultimately the decisive question. Currently it looks like this is at least 0.00002 Steem per HBBC.

If one-fifth of the HBBC is offered at this price, the rest (i.e. everything above it) will go empty for this week.

But I assume that there will be some action on Saturday evening and Sunday. I am very excited about this dynamic.

What do you think: for how much can the HBBC be sold at the maximum on Sunday? And how will the price develop over the next few weeks?

(Note: Probably the HBBC will get an additional feature for the game at some point. But when and how is probably still unclear. I guess it could be a bit like the DEC at Steemmonsters)

If you have more exact numbers or other estimations or even find arithmetical errors, please write that in the comments! :)

Den genauen Wert zu bestimmen wird schwer. Am Ende heißt es Angebot und Nachfrage. Bisher wird ja recht niedrig angeboten, weil jeder was von prize pool abbekommen will, aber sobald man ingame damit ein wenig was machen kann, wird sich das sicher auch sehr auf den Preis ausschlagen. Daher einfach mal schauen was die Zeit bringt. :)
