Chelsea has been linked with several players already this season. Can they really buy players in the current transfer window round? It is not looking like there is going to be any addition to the current team. The window opened from the first day of the year 2020 and throughout January that's within two days to end, no player has been bought. The club have identified Leicester defender Ben Chilwell and Ajax midfielder Hakim Ziyech as priority summer transfer targets.

The website reports the club are also interested in signing Napoli forward Dries Mertens but are unlikely to pursue the Belgian because of his high asking price. Most players are priced too high or too expensive and overrated. Frank Lampard has been given the green light to rebuild his squad in the summer, with substantial funds available following the lifting of the club’s two-window transfer ban,’ states the report. I wish Chelsea can add at least Edinson Cavani who can help Tammy to improve and bring a wealth of experience into the table. If I was Lampard, I will pick up one or two different players on loan for the remainder of the season.
