Ruben Loftus-Cheek reacts on Twitter after playing 1 hour mark in the development squad game taking a step closer to full recovery from Achilles Tender suffered back in May 2019. It's good to see him back running with his feet yet again after a long time out. This kind of injury has many players career and to be back in training is awesome.

The players are there to help support him through the journey into recovery and one man who has as been there, knows what the injury can do is Callum Odoi. He is got his back after all. Frank Lampard reported recently he had returned to training with the men’s team, and as part of his rehabilitation he played in that game. He will continue to build up his fitness in the coming weeks.

Although, Brentford B won 2-0 with both the goals coming in the second half. Our west London neighbours missed two good early opportunities before Chelsea grew into the game. Billy Gilmour, who played the full 90 minutes, forced a good save from Patrik Gunnarsson, and then we nearly took the lead in bizarre circumstances. A misplaced back-header hit the post, rebounded onto the sprawling Gunnarsson and spun away from the goal-line to safety.

On the stroke of half-time Loftus-Cheek drove into the box and created space for a shot that whistled just wide.

Loftus-Cheek coming back into the team will strengthen the team more and can put January disappointment behind them going into summer.
