Why Central Bank Cryptocurrencies Will Not Take Off

There is a lot of talk of late where rumors are that central banks around the world will issue cryptcurrencies. The concern is that most people will not be able to tell the difference.
This means there is the potential for the same situation to be created where people are enslaved.
I cover an angle on this that few are talking about. It is the same system and that is the problem. This is why it will fail.

They will try and control it by maintaining 99% of the 'reserve'. They will also create dozens so the can just abandon one when they mess up.
Yeah I can't really see any sort of centralized governance being successful in this space. Even Ripple smells and looks fishy to me.

I can see then utilizing tokens and digital assets of their own but rather or not they will "take off" is yet to be seen.

Like other services it could be easier and cheaper for a bank to utilize a coin that isnt their own.
