Look Away to Understand Life

In order to understand the world, one has to turn away from it on occasion.

With the glut of (repetitive) bad news, now, seems like that time to turn away with care so that one might return with greater care.

Paradox ... Part of being (fully) present is taking, from time to time, a leave of absence ... to better see/Be.

We are more than our corrupt politicians and the criminals who sabotage faith - all who have their own cynical agendas.

We are better, and finer, than all the death and destruction we watch 24/7 on the news.

None of the above tells the full story of who we are; on the contrary they deaden our imagination & prevent us from Becoming.

Perspective is everything - where we look & what we make of it.

I believe there's more good than bad - in our world, and in us.

Which is why we must filter the noise and know how to Listen...

We must have
the stubbornness to accept our gladness in the ruthless
furnace of this world. To make injustice the only
measure of our attention is to praise the Devil.
If the locomotive of the Lord runs us down,
we should give thanks that the end had magnitude.
We must admit there will be music despite everything.
