Two more postcards from my social experiment, and taking things one notch up for Christmas 🎄🎅🤶

After I returned from Thailand, I received two postcards from other Steemians from my social experiment. The first set one is from @travelgirl. I think she must have mailed this before she left Australia for SteemFest as she did ask if she could bring it to me instead. I said No 🤪!!!!! as that would defeat the purpose of the experiment. Here is her post card of Sydney.

Sydney brings back many happy memories for me. When I was working in Hong Kong many years ago, my old company's regional HQ was in Sydney. I used to go there often, and would always sneak in a few days after my business trips for a free holiday. The iconic landmarks such as the Opera House, Sydney Bridge, Sydney Tower are instantly recognisable. Those were the days when I met my new boyfriend and Sydney was one of our first holidays together. This guy is now my husband 😍. I haven't been to Sydney for a long long and another trip is long overdue. Hopefully I can make it, maybe next year sometime.

The stamp on the postcard is a greater bilby. There's a lesser bilby but it has become extinct in the 50s. This nocturnal animal which looks a bit like a rabbit is declining in numbers as well. Hopefully their population will be maintained.

The second postcard is from US. I am very honoured that this Steemian agreed to take part in my social experiment, to put his trust in me and share his name and address. He values his privacy and I absolutely respect his decision as that was one of my underlying principles when I started this social experiment. I wish I could show you his postcard as it is a beautiful one but it has the name of his state on it. I shall keep it as my personal collection instead. Sharing on the blockchain is fun, but maintain friendships is equally if not even more important. So thank you once again my friend.

Before I left for Steemfest I sent out two more postcards. One to @mariannewest in the US. She is the host of the #freewrite. If you ever find yourself lacking inspiration on what to write, check out her blog for her daily prompts. The second postcard was to @zirochka in Ukraine. This is a new country on my list, the 9th country and 12th Steemian that I have sent a post card to. I wonder if they have received it yet?

With Christmas coming soon, I want to take things one notch up. In the coming month, I would love to send you a Christmas card to celebrate the festive season. Christmas is not celebrated widely in Taiwan, it's not even a public holiday, but we do have some of the most beautiful Christmas cards I've seen. I'd love to share this with you and would love to hear from you.

It doesn't matter if you have already received a postcard from me, or whether this is the first time you have come across my social experiment. I would still love to send you a Christmas card. I have met so many new friends at SteemFest, I hope some of you would like to join in as well. If you don't celebrate Christmas in your country, I can still send you a postcard.
