Are You Posting on Bilpcoin Yet?
Greetings Steemians,
The Bilpcoin network is alive and well folks.
Everyday I curate the network with @bpc-future, and I'm very pleased to see many Steemians actively posting with the tag and doing so on a daily basis.
I just bumped my stake up a little, from 12k to 12,300 BPC. It's not a giant stake, but I'm able to cast 1.20 Bilpcoin with a 5 percent vote, and this is my baseline vote when curating.
Generally speaking, the majority of my votes are around 5%. If content does not tickle my fancy in any special way, I generally cast the minimum vote, if I like the content, I bump anywhere from 10, 15, 20, 25, ... 100% votes, and sometimes I throw in odd numbers that don't follow any specific pattern. I don't know why I do that, I just do.
I've noticed some content creators on there with a pretty massive stake that self upvote themselves every post, while neglecting to curate the community very much. I don't agree with this kind of behavior and I feel it's not healthy for the network. I won't call anyone out by name here, but all one needs to do is look at the trending posts on the site. Please utilize those stakes to empower the user base of Bilpcoin guys, because without user base, your massive stake is not going to harbor any intrinsic value in the future.
I scan the entire new posts selection everyday for a 24 hour period post creation cycle. If you're not receiving bpc-future votes, then it's likely I find your content spammy or very low quality. I don't hold that against users. Some are new and don't understand what is considered quality, while some are truly just trying to game. It's hard to know, but if I see users trying to improve the quality of their posts, I'll curate them regardless of past post quality.
That is about it for my thoughts on Bilpcoin right now. It's a pretty diverse network guys and gals. The Bilpcoin team is thinking of new ideas to implement and I feel bright things are coming in the future for BPC.

I would compare it to palnet in its current state. A diverse amount of topics are welcome, and the development team is looking to bring some unique use cases to the platform in the near future. I hope this helps :)

Yes you can!
I used the eSteem app to post this, and simply used the #bilpcoin tag in the tag selection area. You do not need to use the bilpcoin website to earn the coin or use the tag.

My main question is how bilpcoin is different from many of the other tribes.
I did not see a road map (maybe it was not put out) that states where it is going and how it is different than say, Palnet or Marlians.
Free tokens are fun and adding the tag is easy enough, however what is the incentive to hold the token? What is going to provide value to it as opposed to it just being a token grab?

In its current state, I don't see any major differences to the tribes you've mentioned. I do know the management team is exploring ideas to offer unique use cases to the tribe however, so perhaps this is a good incentive to hold the token.
In terms of it being a "token grab", that is really a matter of opinion. Just because nothing solid is on the table at the moment to incentivize hodling, (for some) that doesn't mean there won't be incentive in the future. Hindsight is 20/20 right?
I enjoy your posts on the network. You blog about some interesting things. If it's just a token grab for you at the moment, then that is your prerogative, but regardless I'm happy to see you utilizing the tag.

I have no problem with hold based upon conjecture or future plans. This is all speculative so nothing is concrete.
Certainly, none of us know the future and what is going to be a raging success. The leading tribes today could be nothing tomorrow. That is why I try to add some of each tag I use. This helps to keep things leveled out a bit.
I was just wondering what some of the plans are. I do not know the development team so have heard little about the project.
