Gathering with Family (Shhh, Don't Tell the Queen) to Celebrate
Yesterday was my mother's birthday and @lturner made a beautiful cake to celebrate. We had a "quiet" gathering to celebrate together.
Has anyone else been gathering with family and friends to celebrate? I'd like to hear about it.

Happy Belated Birthday to your mom! Lauren did an excellent job on the cake. I love quiet family gatherings to share special occasions. Unfortunately, we have not been able to be with my son and his family in Managua since Christmas. It has been 5 years since I have been with my sons and grandchildren in Canada. We do family celebrations but not often. Only when an event prompts it. I have no kids yet but am sure to recommend this book to ma friends.
