Happy Christmas my friends!

I will be spending Christmas eve as Santa for a number of families visiting their homes. I have been a Santa in the Quad Cities since 2012 and December is always busy. It is fun and a blessing to make their lives special and spread love. I often tell the children before handing out presents - "Santa is good to you, you need to be good to others. Not just in December but all year round.'" Spread the love. I hope the message is heard by the young ones.

The gift of love we show others, expresses our gratitude for what has been given to us.

I will be traveling on Christmas day to visit mom. I used to wait until January, but life is short. She has health concerns and is 89. You never know when it will be the last Christmas together.

Every moment is precious. Family members can be taken quickly.

Many families will not share Christmas!

There are countless families that will not be able to be together. They will not share in opening presents round the tree or enjoy that ham, cranberries or pumpkin pie. They will not hear 'The Night Before Christmas' or the real Christmas story of Luke 2: 8 -14.

Sadly, their Christmas joy has been kidnapped by the governmental CPS foster care system. Children are forced to live in foster care under the guardianship of strangers. Some are even trafficked into the sex trade or secured by government. These young innocent lives are sold to the system and their dreams and ambitions are discarded. Their little lives are slaughtered for financial profit. An open wound is exposed to the world as they long for their real families. Their tears fall in silence to an apathetic people.

Children do not deserve to be held captive by our governmental system.

And that is only the children

There are mothers and fathers who share this loss with heartfelt grief. They cannot be with their children. But this also includes grandparents, aunt, uncles cousins and dear friends. When the CPS foster care system breaks up families, it has a ripple effect on the child's support system of family and friends.

But this loss does not go away after the holidays

These families suffer silently throughout the entire year. Life has changed for them. The hugs are gone, the 'I love you' is gone. The warm fuzzies have disappeared from their lives. No more little league games or trips to the zoo. No more ice cream runs or story telling. It is a different world... all thanks to the CPS.

These families are left with the emotional baggage of pain, nightmares, fear, guilt, depression, anger, loss, resentment, and the list goes on. All of this is the filthy residue of the CPS foster care system.

We need to remember these families at Christmas

Through our thoughts, deeds and prayers, we need to reach out to these families and children. If you know of someone who is alone and apart from their family, take some time out today and do something special to make their day and their lives better. Spread the gift of love to them. Spend time with them. Pray for them. Bring joy and happiness to their heart. They do not deserve to spend their time in pain, tears and anguish alone.

Dear Jesus
Be near those families broken and alone
Those now apart and without their dear home
May their lives be filled with your love today
blessed with the gift of Christmas I pray.

Spread The Light

I am often reminded how we live in a darkened world. With greed, apathy, selfishness, corruption... the list goes on. Yet, Christmas brings light. We think of the star over Bethlehem, candles and even the glow of outdoor lights from our homes. What a joy to see and feel the warmth. We need to be that light of Christmas hope for families voiceless and hurting. We need to be Christmas.

We can bring positive beautiful energy into their world

And Warm The Hearts Of Families

Look around. You see kind folks coming together to help the voiceless and hurting. Pro-family groups are springing up everywhere. Good people like @familyprotection are tirelessly working to share that warmth and spread the light of truth and justice. They love children and understand grief. I encourage you to support @familyprotection, as they bring freedom and love to all.

Many lights of hope produce the pathway, that makes the journey safer. Consider being a light to a suffering family.
