Blue Jay: Spirit Animal
Happy Feathered Friday Everyone. #featheredfriday is hosted by @melinda. Check her post Here for more info and send some of our fine feathered friends her way.
This beautiful Blue Jay has been a faithful visitor to my backyards for years.
The Blue Jay is a year round resident here on P. E. I. They brighten up the environment with their blue feathers with white underneath and white chest. Although the Blue jay can be noisy, they are smart and can mimic other birds and also humans.
I’ve read a bit about spirit and token animals and with the Blue Jay being such a faithful visitor I would group the bird in with my spirit animals.
Blue Jay Spiritual Animal People usually love to talk a lot, so they may be very good at public speaking and politics. These people are also fearless and they are ready to defend their position. Even though they are kind and friendly, they may be also ferocious when they have to face their opponents.
I don’t know if any of that could apply to me. I’m not a chatterbox but I have done public speaking and see myself as a warrior.
I like that the Blue Jay is a symbol of truthfulness. That characteristic suits me as I am always looking for the truth- the whys, wheres and hows of life.
I thought the Blue Jay could be loud with his calls until the Grackles came by this spring and never stopped shrieking at anyone or anything they saw. Mostly they make a sound like a squeak of a rusty door but they have another loud repetitive shriek when trying to drive others away.
By the way the Blue Jay is holding his head , he is not impressed with the Grackle horning in on his food.
Two Grackles hung around until their babies were born, shrieked most of the time and then left.
This Grackle seems shorter than the rest - perhaps one of their babies.
#birding is fun. it’s a joy to see the birds and hear their songs

Wow such wonderful photos, thanks for sharing. I really like #featheredfridays, enjoy #birding a lot. Too tired tonight to do a blog but I will come back around soon. Great work my GAL pal...sorry again for the mix up. But I gotta say I have enjoyed following you. Peace!
Thanks @farm-mom! #featheredfriday is one of my favorites too. I always keep my eyes open for different birds.
I enjoy following your posts , my friend. Not to worry about the mixup. 😊 Blessings. 💕
Hi Redheadpei, I would not be surprised that the Blue Jay is your spirit animal. It has so many lovely characterises that from my perspective suit you very well.
Hi Angie! 💕 Thanks for those lovely comments. Hope your weekend is going well. 😊

Fantastic photos, Jo. I can totally see the Blue Jay being your Spirit Animal. They are warriors and do not back down. They were creating quite a ruckus in my yard the other day. They were loud enough that I actually went to look to see what was wrong. And sure enough, there was a hawk and they were not happy that he was here!
Morning Melinda! Thanks always for you lovely comments. ♥️
I like the idea of the Blue Jay as my spirit animal...much better than the skunk who keeps digging up clumps of the lawn looking for grubs. 😂
Aah! Beautiful birds Jo.
Sadly we have none of them over here.
Very interesting habits and that Blue Jay is certainly a character.
They seem to have some of your traits.
Blessings!
Thanks Stephen! I think the Blue Jays like our cooler weather. They are quite the little characters.
Blessings, my friend. 😊
That blue jay is really a beautiful one .. i like those deather colours ^^
Thanks @adalger. They are one of my favorite birds.
I think mine is the owl as it comes to me when I'm in need of wisdom
Owl is a wise one to have as spirit animal.
Howdy redheadpei! Those Gackles sound irritating! But I love the Blue Jays, they make nice friends.
