A seagull flying in the pouring rain and her adventures on a rainy beach / Mewa lecącąca w strugach ulewnego deszczu i jej przygody na plaży w deszczowy dzień

It was one of the rainy days at the Baltic Sea. I went to the beach with my friend when it stopped raining. We reached the beach and unfortunately it started raining again. But I didn't want to go from there. I looked at the seagulls, which, despite the rain and wind, stood unmoved on the sand, one next to the other. New ones appeared every now and then. And finally got interested in one of them. It was a different color to the herring gull that I see most often. I was curious what species it was (it turned out that the herring gull, only a young one :)).

To był jeden z tych deszczowych dni nad Bałtykiem. Gdy przestało padać poszłam z koleżanką na plażę. Niestety, gdy tam dotarłyśmy, znowu się rozpadało. Ale nie chciałam od razu wracać.. Spojrzałam na mewy, które pomimo deszczu i wiatru stały nieruchomo na piasku jedna obok drugiej. Co jakiś czas pojawiały się nowe. W końcu zainteresowałam się jedną z nich. Miała inny kolor niż mewa srebrzysta, którą widuję najczęściej. Byłam ciekawy, jaki to gatunek (okazało się, że mewa srebrzysta, tylko młoda :)).

I saw her walking on the beach looking for food. The color of her plumage blended into the background at times. Excellent camouflage.

Zobaczyłam jak chodzi po plaży szukając pożywienia. Kolor jej upierzenia momentami wtapiał się w tło otoczenia. Świetny kamuflaż.

She bent her leg nicely from time to time. I wonder why, thanks to this position of the body, she could hunt something faster?

The seagull walked calmly on the beach, and beside her the sea was restless, the waves mighty. The contrast was interesting - the animal's peace and completely different weather.

Mewa chodziła spokojnie po plaży, a obok niej morze było niespokojne, fale potężne. Ciekawy był ten kontrast - spokój zwierzęcia i zupełnie inna pogoda.

And finally, although I posted this photo first - the seagull flew away, and its feathers looked like an Indian pirate. I like this photo very much. I made them from under an umbrella :)

A na koniec, choć to zdjęcie zamieściłam jako pierwsze - mewa odleciała, a jej pióra wyglądały jak indiański piuropusz. Bardzo mi się podoba to zdjęcie. Zrobiłam je spod parasolki :)
