Paradise Flycatcher | Wildlife : Birds - 3

The birds-of-paradise are the most beautiful and colorful birds of world. Birds of paradise species are found in New Guinea and eastern Australia. Birds of paradise has 42 species and only one specie is found in Pakistan named Paradise Flycatcher.

The paradise flycatcher ranges across Africa and Asia, as well as a number of islands. Male Paradise Flycatchers have long tail feathers, and a black and rufous plumage in some populations, while others have white plumage.

Females are short-tailed with rufous wings and a black head. Indian paradise flycatchers feed on insects, which they capture in the air. In Pakistan they are found in Margalla Hills, Islamabad and in Kallar Kahar area.
