Lightening Round ~ Acquiesce

Today's word of the day for December 5 is acquiesce.

His office smelled different when he opened the door. Everything looked brand new. He walked in and smiled. His secretary got the hint when he mentioned the special visitor he was expecting today. He could feel his pulse racing.

It had all started as a joke. Richard had casually mentioned it during a conversation. He almost choked on his drink when he realised he wasn't joking. The shock had quickly disappeared and here he was. Who would have believed he acquiesced to the suggestion.

The door opened, his wife's younger sister stood there, her fingers slowly loosening her buttons.
