[insert icy title]

@eveuncovered already used "Ice Ice Baby", so I have to resort to an edgy anti-title in the absence of imagination. I took these while I was at the friend's cottage for New Year's when one morning we noticed some cool ice formations on the shore of the lake. A boring photography post with not many words, but try to live with it.

Love the light in these and the grey, green, blue tones throughout. Ice should be cherished greatly these days when the temperatures are just getting warmer. It is a freaking winter. Here I have barely seen any ice or snow. It bothers me, like a lot.

It is the same here in south-Finland, just a few times it has snowed but soon melted away :(
I'm going to pay a visit to central-Finland by the end of February so hopefully there's still some snow left so I could experience the winter that never came here.

Thanks! The last picture I actually ignored at first, but then I realized that with some tweaking I actually was able to pop up the ice from the surface that it was occupying. In the original the ice was barely visible. It's the magic of editing :D

I've had the DSLR for a bit over a year by now, and the Nikkor 50-200mm – that I used to capture these – I bought from Eve about a half year ago. That lens kicks ass :D
