LUPIS (Indonesian Sweet Glutinous Rice Cake) For Breakfast

Beautiful Sunday morning, we serve "LUPIS" at the breakfast table. LUPIS is a traditional Indonesian cake made from glutinous rice which is usually eaten at breakfast.

Lupis is made with mold using a triangle-shaped banana leaf which is then steamed.

After steaming, Lupis is rolled in grated coconut, then served with brown sugar sauce.

Because this menu has a sweet and savory taste, we only occasionally consume LUPIS, for example on weekends only.

If you visit Indonesia, you should try this one breakfast menu. LUPIS is easy to find in roadside vendors and traditional Indonesian restaurants.
